A virtual consultation is not a substitute for a comprehensive, detailed in-person appointment, but it can be a convenient one-on-one conversation to discuss symptoms, review your medical history, and discuss your treatment plans. Whether you are an out-of-state patient, are currently sick, limited in mobility or transportation, or in need of assistance for a minor illness, a virtual consultation may be an ideal option for you.

How To Have a Successful Virtual Consultation

To successfully attend a virtual consultation, you need to have a reliable internet connection and update or install any necessary applications. After getting in touch with us, and before your virtual consultation, our team will send you information or additional documents to fill out online to prepare for your appointment. We will instruct you on how to sign on and join the video chat for your visit. The connection is secure and HIPAA-compliant to ensure that your highly sensitive medical and personal information remain confidential. If you have any questions or concerns about your virtual consultation, our team can guide you through it.

On the day of your appointment:

  • Ensure that your electronic device is fully charged or has a stable power source
  • Have a reliable internet connection
  • Position yourself in a comfortable, quiet, and private area to sit in your meeting
  • Log on five to ten minutes before your appointment
  • Have your photo ID ready, in case you need to verify your identity

Cost

The cost of your virtual consultation is typically $150, but it can vary depending on the reasoning for your consultation. Dr. Chang or a member of our team will provide the final pricing for your virtual consultation during your 60-minute meeting as well as address any lingering questions or concerns you may have. The $150 fee will apply to your surgery if you decide to book a treatment or procedure with us.
