Travel & Out-of-Town Patients

Whether you are a born-and-raised Miami resident or traveling to our sunny city for your procedure, planning your stay accordingly is essential for enhanced comfort and optimal outcomes.

Once your surgical procedure is complete, you will need to recover for a few days before going back to your home and continuing your normal routine. If you are traveling, we want you to plan accordingly; you will require a couple of days of downtime to recover to a point where you can travel safely. Your total downtime depends on the procedure you undergo. Generally, minor procedures require 5-7 days of rest after the initial surgery day, and larger-scale procedures require 10-14. Dr. Chang will inform you of how long you will need to stay in Miami before you return home.

Our office is located at 2310 South Dixie Highway, Miami, FL 33133, and we operate from Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 5:00pm, and are closed Saturdays and Sundays.

There are a variety of hotels, recovery homes, and visiting nurses less than 20 minutes away from our office that can assist with your recovery process.

Transportation Options

Immediately after your procedure, Dr. Chang and his team will monitor your vitals and ensure that you are in good health before allowing you to recover at your hotel or nearby recovery home. Our office does not allow you to take rideshares after a procedure that requires anesthesia. To get to your place of recovery, you will receive a ride from non-emergency medical transportation that provides door-to-door assistance, a ride from a post-surgical companion with a specialized care team, or you may receive a hotel/recovery bundle with private surgery-to-surgery transportation from the hotel you are staying at. These transportation resources ensure that you make it to your recovery place safely and without any complications!
