How Deposits Work
After your personal consultation, you will decide if you would like to move forward with your procedure, and a deposit is what will secure your official booking. This allows you and our team to agree on a quote and timeline before any money exchange. We will also discuss financing options after your personal consultation. Our team accepts deposits and payments in person at the office via check or by using major credit cards. If you decide to finance your procedure, we will help you explore your options for manageable monthly installments. In this case, you should apply for financing during your consultation or shortly after to get approved as soon as possible, and once approved, the lender will pay our office the required deposit and remaining balance on your behalf.
What Does the Deposit Go Towards?
A deposit reserves your surgery date and covers specialized supplies. The deposit amount of $1,000 goes towards your overall procedure fee. If you pay the deposit amount but decide not to undergo the treatment, then the deposit will turn into a consultation fee. This deposit is non-refundable, so we encourage you to be absolutely certain that you want to undergo your procedure before paying the deposit.
Payment Timelines
We require you to pay 50% of your total payment one month before your procedure. The remaining balance must be paid in full two weeks prior to your procedure date. If you are financing, the lending company will pay us for your procedure, and you will have to make payments to them.
Financing Options
Dr. Chang partners with Cherry to provide financing options. This application process is separate from the office booking process. Cherry has true 0% APR plans available, no hard credit checks, interest-bearing plans with APRs as low as 5.99%, approvals up to $65,000, and no hidden fees. Refund Policy
Deposits, consultation fees, and pre-purchased supplies are typically non-refundable. Your deposit covers the costs for any medical clearances, standard blood work, or specialized tests that are necessary for your procedure. Dr. Chang requires a $1,000 deposit to hold a potential surgery date, which is non-refundable even after your personal consultation. However, Dr. Chang will consider individual circumstances such as timing and reason for cancellation.
Typically, canceling within 14 to 30 days of your surgery can result in escalating penalties or complete forfeiture of 25% to 50% of the total surgical fees. If you cancel the day of surgery, the entire procedure fee is non-refundable because surgical resources, expenses, and staff have been allocated. If you are using a third-party financing company, the refund policy is based on the specific contract you signed initially with the lender.
